Wildfire Preparedness Day and BBQ

Saturday May 04, 2024, 10 AM to 1:00 PM

Location: Anarchist Mountain Fire Hall; 115 Grizzly Road/Highway 3

 Anarchist Mountain residents are encouraged to attend our 12th annual FireSmart Day. Presentations include:

• A BCWS representative speaking about the wildfire forecast;
• The CWRP program and how we plan to reduce the wildfire risk to our community;
• Changes and improvements to the FireSmart home assessment program;
• Applying for a FireSmart rebate;
• Building your new home FireSmart and protecting your home with sprinklers;
• And preparing for emergencies; burning regulations and flammable invasive weeds;
• Learn how AMFD and AMFRS have prepared for the upcoming wildfire season.

Please park along Grizzly road and do not block fire hall access road

Please bring your rakes and weed whackers to help FireSmart at the fire hall after the BBQ
